Trainer / Rescue Operative

We are recruiting for a full time Trainer / Rescue Operative at the following training centres:

  • Units 1–3 Marquis Drive, Rawdon Business Park, Moira, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE12 6EJ
  • 3 Westgate Centre, Premier Way, Abbey Park Industrial Estate, Romsey, Southampton, Hampshire, SO51 9DH

In response to increased demand for its products and services, MRS is seeking applications from people who have the requisite qualifications, skills and experience to deliver health and safety training courses and provide confined space rescue cover to our customers.

The Role

  • Delivery of health & safety training courses
  • Provision of confined space rescue cover, emergency escape, rescue and associated services
  • Practical assistance on safety-related work

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience delivering health & safety related training
  • TAQA or equivalent assessing qualification
  • Professional Trainers Qualification or other training/teaching related qualification
  • Willing to deliver health and safety training to all industries
  • Able to pass a medical examination and fitness test for confined space rescue

The Person

  • Willing to deliver health and safety training to all industries

Business Administration Apprentice

Our training centre at Mansfield (NG19 9AQ) is looking to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice. This is primarily an admin role and we are looking for a suitable person who has expressed an interest in a career in administration.

The Role

Initially, the successful applicant will be learning the role, the business and embedding yourself into the team.  An excellent understanding and grasp of the English Language is a must as is attention to detail.  It is essential that you are able to communicate in a professional but friendly manner as you will need to communicate at all levels within the business and to clients as well.

The role is extremely important to the business as the right person will be the first point of contact for the company’s clients from a customer service perspective and you will be responsible for liaising with staff members as well.

You will have supervision and support within the company, whilst working towards Business Administration Apprenticeship. 

Some of your main duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Answering the telephone & directing calls
  • Dealing with customer enquiries on the phone, by email and by way of quotations
  • Producing and preparing paperwork for clients
  • Dealing with goods in and goods out including despatch notes and labelling
  • Processing course bookings on the AccessPlanit booking system
  • Use of Microsoft office suite
  • Greeting clients /visitors
  • Database management
  • General administration and supportive duties
  • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.

Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies.   • This role is open to current year 11 to 13s. Anyone not yet meeting the minimum age criteria, but who will turn 16 before the end of August (current year 11) is still welcome to apply as we are willing to wait for the right candidate. Please can delegates include their date of birth on the application.
  • For current students sitting their GCSEs, employment will be based on projected grades but should a shortfall in these grades be met on results day, employment may be under review. Please can applicants therefore include their projected grades on the CV.
