Trainer / Rescue Operative - Crossgates, Scotland

In response to increased demand for its products and services, MRS are seeking applications from  people, who subject to qualification and training have the requisite skills to deliver health and safety training courses and provide confined space rescue cover to our customers.

The Role:

  • delivery of health & safety training courses
  • provision of confined space rescue cover, emergency escape, rescue and associated services
  • practical assistance on safety-related work

The Person:

  • willing to deliver health and safety training to all industries
  • training / assessing qualifications and experience in delivering health & safety training, particularly working at height (IRATA) would be an advantage
  • be able to pass a medical examination and fitness test for confined space rescue
  • comfortable working within confined spaces and working at heights
  • willing to undertake personal training and development
  • calm under pressure/good team working
  • flexible approach/willingness to learn
  • willing to travel (overnight) to meet the needs of the business
  • full valid driving licence

Full training in all aspects of the job will be given, as will support to gain relevant skills-based, professional qualifications. 

We offer competitive rates of pay; 26 days holidays; pension scheme contributions; life assurance; uniform and private health care scheme. The position is subject to a DBS (previously CRB) check and two satisfactory references.

Business Development Manager

MRS are a leading provider of health and safety training and confined space rescue to industry, operating 7 locations across the UK and shortly to open a new training centre in London.

To further support the growth of the business we are now seeking to appoint an experienced BDM with a proven track record in growing sales in a B2B health and safety training environment or similar.

The position, whilst based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire will also involve a degree of field work meeting new and existing customers, attending customer events / trade fairs and liaising with our training centre and marketing colleagues.

You will be responsible for tender project submissions and delivering successful bids, as such you will have a proven quantifiable record of successful tender bidding.

You will also prepare reports, research documents, maintain the CRM system, grant applications and collation of relevant reporting data and statistics.

Whilst you will report directly to the Commercial & Technical Director you will also liaise with the CEO and Executive Team in developing and delivering new business strategies and the direction of future operations.

The role would suit a natural communicator with well-developed customer care and stakeholder management skills and experience of achieving or exceeding sales objectives.

The position attracts a salary of £25k to £35k dependant on experience along with a comprehensive package including pension, life assurance and private health care for the successful candidate.
