MRS Training & Rescue Shortlisted for the Chad Business Awards

We are over the moon to be finalists in the Professional Services Award category of the Mansfield and Ashfield Chad Business Awards 2021. This award looks at businesses that demonstrate excellence in the professional services sector and what measures were taken during the pandemic to adapt and change to continue to meet the demands of clients.

The awards celebrate business success within the local community especially set against the difficulties they have faced during the past year.

As a business that has been in Mansfield Woodhouse since 1908, we do feel we are at the heart of the community. Our people, many of whom live in Mansfield too, are our greatest investment and our biggest asset. Since those early days we have come a long way in embracing cultural change and the way we develop employees. However, what has not changed is giving them the right skills and tools to fulfil their roles. Our training strategy is at the heart of our business, as our employees are our most significant investment and our greatest asset; without them, we would not have a business.

And during the past 18 months – throughout the coronavirus pandemic - we have not only survived but thrived. We have expanded and updated our facilities, added 7.5% to our workforce, doubled profitability and paid a bonus to all employees for their hard work and dedication in unprecedented times.

We really pleased to be recognised as finalists and we have our fingers crossed for the awards!

Mansfield and Ashfield have some fantastic businesses and entrepreneurs and these awards are the perfect opportunity to showcase the best of businesses. We wish all the finalists’ good luck at the awards ceremony, which is a black-tie affair, taking place at Portland College on 11 November.

Great course, great venue, so much better than using that crappy portable tunnel thing, get rid of it. Instructor was so nice, put you at ease, great presentation work and made it easy to follow. Very enjoyable.

I attended Emergency First Aid Course. The trainer Dale was fab, made everything easy to understand and great knowledge too. Good to practice CPR, Defib and bandaging techniques too. Thanks very much - will definitely be back again when due.
