Meet Ross Graham, Team Lead, IQA, Trainer Rescue Operative, Crossgates Centre
Ross Graham is a dedicated safety professional with extensive experience in industrial rescue, training, and emergency response. As a Team Leader at MRS Training & Rescue Crossgates, he oversees 40 rescue operatives, managing their workload, training, and professional development. He plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering courses that align with current legislation and industry demands, ensuring compliance with accredited governing bodies.
Having worked in multiple high-risk industries, including nuclear, aerospace, petrochemical, renewable energy, hydro tunnels, distilleries, and manufacturing, Ross brings a wealth of confined space rescue expertise to his role at MRS. His skills have also extended offshore, where he has led rescue operations in Ghana, Africa.
Ross’s ability to blend operational experience with training makes him a highly effective instructor. His real-world knowledge enhances his courses, ensuring trainees gain practical, scenario-based learning that mirrors actual workplace challenges.
As the lead auditor for MRS Training & Rescue Crossgates, Ross holds the MPQC Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification and conducts compliance audits to maintain the highest training and safety standards.
Before joining MRS, Ross served as an emergency response Police Constable with Police Scotland, where he was responsible for public safety, crime prevention, and high-pressure decision-making. His law enforcement experience strengthened his ability to handle complex, high-risk situations with professionalism and resilience.
Beyond his primary roles, Ross has also played professional football for Berwick Rangers and Montrose FC, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, and adaptability—qualities that continue to enhance his leadership in the safety sector.
With expertise in team leadership, problem-solving, and communication, Ross is committed to advancing safety standards, mentoring teams, and driving excellence in rescue operations and training.
