Meet Russell Duff, Operations Manager, Southampton Centre
Russell brings extensive maritime and safety expertise to his role as Operations Manager at MRS Training & Rescue’s Southampton centre. Since 2018, he has led the site’s operations, ensuring the highest standards in safety, training delivery, and business development. His diverse instructional portfolio includes delivering marine, confined space, first aid, and working at height courses, as well as serving as a City & Guilds and MP Awards instructor and assessor.
Russell’s maritime career spans roles such as Special Projects Manager at one of the UK’s largest private maritime training centres, and Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy. His work has involved managing maritime apprenticeships, liaising with the Maritime Coastguard Agency, and delivering high-stakes training to ensure industry compliance. His leadership, technical expertise, and dedication to excellence make him a valued member of the MRS Training & Rescue team.
