Our Nottingham Training Centre is located in the heart of Mansfield and is easily accessible from all parts of the East Midlands.

At our Nottingham centre, we offer a range of health and safety training, including confined space, first aid, IOSH, working at height, and fire safety courses. Our expert instructors teach real-life skills using cutting-edge facilities.

About Mansfield

Our Mansfield training centre has 7 dedicated training rooms – in addition to purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities designed by our team of experts.

Confined Space Facilities:
We have dedicated confined space galleries and a network of crawl spaces. These spaces feature various entry points, including a vertical access point with steel ladders. The facility includes:

  • 6 parallel roadways, each 20m long with varying heights and dimensions
  • A 9m tubular section that can be filled with shallow water for added realism
  • A lighting system to simulate fire, sound effects for realistic industrial noise, and a smoke generator to create low visibility scenarios
  • A simulated alarm and strobe light system to replicate emergency situations

Additionally, we have an outdoor confined space facility made from 3 shipping containers, complete with more crawl spaces, tunnels, and a vertical access point for realistic training.

Working at Height Facilities:
Our centre is equipped with a 5m indoor scaffold access system designed to simulate various work at height scenarios. Key features include:

  • Ladders for ascending/descending drills with twin hook lanyards to ensure safety
  • Fixed ladders for ladder rescue training
  • Trap doors, gates, hatches, and guard rails to teach over-the-edge rescue techniques
  • Sloping and flat roofs with open edges for work positioning and restraint lanyard techniques

We also have an outdoor, 8m high purpose-built training facility for suspension, suspended rescues, and casualty stretcher rescues.

Specialist Equipment:
Our site is equipped with oxygen and compressed air charging facilities to support training in the use of Open Circuit (OCBA) and Closed Circuit (CCBA) breathing apparatus, as well as specialist rescue equipment like MARS resuscitation units and confined space rescue stretchers.
