The Highland Cross 2016

Highland Cross Challenge

MRS Training & Rescue has committed – again - to doing the Highland Cross challenge, which is a 50 mile, coast to coast, route across the Scottish Highlands on Saturday, 18 June 2016.  The challenge involves a 20 mile run/walk followed by a 30 mile bike ride.  There are 265 x 3 man teams coming from all over the UK and comprise corporate, services and local groups.

The three MRS people doing the challenge this year are Alastair Hadfield (HQ), Gary Kondor (Mansfield) & Edwin Young (Crossgates).  We are also supported by Errol at Crossgates in the provision of a back-up van and driver.  Andy Watson and Paul Wilson did it last year with Gary Kondor.

We have to raise a minimum of £500 as part of our entry commitment. The money raised by all teams goes to local organisations in the Highlands, i.e. mountain rescue and other deserving groups.

We have set up a “just giving” platform for donations.  The just giving link is at:-  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/MRS-Training-and-Rescue

The highland cross website is www.highlandcross.co.uk

Anything you feel able to donate to this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.
