Our Swadlincote Training Centre covers Birmingham and the West Midlands area. Due to its location on the border of Derbyshire / Birmingham / Leicestershire – it is easily accessed via the A42, M42 and the M1.

Our training centre is easily accessible for those located in Loughborough, Derby, Ashby de la Zouch, Burton on Trent, Birmingham and Corby.

We provide a variety of training courses for a wide range of industries – all our courses are taught in spacious classrooms and within a purpose-built training area. Highly qualified training instructors teach all our courses – most are current or former rescuers.

We specialise in providing low, medium and high risk confined space training. Our training centre contains specialist spaces designed to recreate the conditions and situations experienced in real life work scenarios. Our 120-year history and experience helps us provide first class training that allows candidates to learn and practice skills which they can then put into action confidently.

We are working at height training experts – and offer a range of height safety and rescue courses. Our purpose built indoor training facility is PASMA accredited, which allows us to offer a mobile access towers course.

We also provide a range of other training courses including first aid training courses, IOSH training courses and firefighting training courses – to name just a few.

Our training centre is based within a beautiful woodland environment and also features a large, free car park for travelling candidates. If you wish to travel to our centre via public transport, call our team for their recommendations.

Facilities

Our Swadlincote centre has 5 dedicate training rooms – and purpose built confined spaces and working at height training facilities.

The centre features a confined space chamber. It was created by MRS Training & Rescue – and is designed to provide a hot and humid environment, as these are the conditions often found in confined spaces. The chamber is monitored by 8 cameras – and features a walkway and a variety of entry points. The chamber can also be filled with artificial smoke to recreate poor visibility conditions.

In addition to our confined spaces facilities – the centre also has an indoor 4m high purpose built scaffold training rig. The rig has many accessories – including ladders, tape doors, gates, hatches and both a sloping and flat roof. This makes this rig very flexible – and means we can replicate most working at height scenarios.

MRS came to my factory to do medium risk confined space training. The instructor and assessor were knowledgable and very professional. An interesting course with the whole group passing. Great course from a professional company.

Craig and his team go above and beyond to ensure that the task is safe and completed to the best of their ability. Always a pleasure to work with.

, Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust

Really enjoyed the fire warden / safe use of portable fire extinguisher course. The trainer was very informative and the course content was exactly what I needed for my staff team. The classroom based work was good and well presented and the practical application of how to use various extinguishers was brilliant. Highly recommend this course
