3 day course
Book from £608

This 3 day Level 3 award Control Entry and Arrangements for Confined Spaces training course is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for confined spaces without entering them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, entry into and exit from the confined space, maintaining communications and initiating and controlling emergency procedures.

It is available as a City & Guilds Level 3 Award (6160-04) for an additional fee of £60.

There are no pre-requisites required to attend this course.

Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language.

This training course covers entry control for Low, Medium and High Risk Confined Spaces.

Candidates will learn how to:

  • Understand standard protocols for work in confined spaces
  • Understand entry controller duties and responsibilities
  • Understand equipment checks and testing required

This course is taught by highly trained and experienced instructors. All of our trainers have real-life experience of working in hazardous environments – which allows them to understand the issues and working conditions candidates might face.

Many of our trainers are also real-life rescuers who attend emergencies across the UK and around the world.

Delegates need to pass a written test and a practical assessment to pass this course. Candidates can choose to receive an MRS Training & Rescue certificate or for an additional fee, a City & Guilds certificate.

The MRS Training & Rescue certification aligns with the City & Guilds Level 3 Award (6160-04).

I have been working with CS for 22 years and this has been the most professional, useful and relevant course I have attended during that time. I will now be sending my team here in the future.

The course was very well run, split between class room and a practical. As long as you listen to what is taught to you and follow the training you will pass this easily. Good instructors and if you don't understand something then ask they will help you understand. Can't wait to come back.

Really informative course far better than my initial course by a different provider. Detailed and relative information and guidance provided.
