GWO WIND TURBINES ENHANCED FIRST AID REFRESHER
Breaks for refreshments are included in this overall total
This GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) Refresher course is part of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training portfolio, which is specifically designed for those who work in the global wind and renewable energy industries.
This course is the ‘refresher’ for the GWO Enhanced First Aid course – and is for renewing certification.
Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language.
This refresher Enhanced First Aid course ensures delegates continue to be able to administer safe, effective and immediate enhanced first aid over a period of time, to not only save lives but to also give assistance in remote areas using more advanced equipment than a basic first aid would allow, while waiting for professional emergency rescue teams to arrive.
Learners will be continually assessed doing practical work.
On completion of this course delegates will have up-to-date knowledge and skills to enable them to:
- Understand legislation, risks and hazards in area in which they work
- Understand human anatomy
- Know how to manage an incident
- Administer lifesaving and enhanced first aid using primary and secondary survey
- Understand pain management and further possible medication
- Be able practice first aid techniques on some selected scenarios
