This practical, hands-on course will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to deal with fire emergencies aboard vessels.

The updated proficiency STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting course is physically demanding so delegates must be well and fit enough to undertake several firefighting exercises that will include wearing of breathing apparatus

  • The use of firefighting equipment and breathing apparatus
  • Procedures for fighting and extinguishing different types of fires
  • Personal safety and teamwork during firefighting operations

Training is delivered at our state-of-the-art Fire Training Facility, where you will engage in realistic, simulated scenarios that mirror potential emergency situations at sea.

Assessment will be carried out through observation, oral questioning, and performance in these practical drills.

Our STCW Updated Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting course is delivered by highly qualified instructors with extensive experience in fire safety, maritime operations, and emergency response.

All instructors have hands-on expertise and are dedicated to ensuring that each participant leaves fully competent and confident in their updated skills.

Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the course and will need to complete a multi-choice written test paper with a pass mark of 65% and achieve 100% pass mark in all practical assessments.

On successful completion of this STCW FPFF course, delegates will receive a printed MRS Training & Rescue certificate.
