Working at Height and Rescue (Wind Turbines) Refresher GWO Approved

Designed for persons who are required to refresh their skills and who are required to access and work on wind turbine generators at height.

This is the core Health and Safety training required for candidates who are required to work within the sector and refreshes candidates' knowledge to allow them to work safely in wind turbines.

Course Content

This 1 day refresher course includes the elements of a safe system of work, equipment selection, inspection, use of tools, risk assessment, emergency procedures, evacuation and rescue practised at height using industry standard equipment, including:

  • Double twin lanyards
  • Triple action connectors for twin lanyards
  • Work positioning lanyards
  • Full body harnesses
  • "Fast access" hub/nacelle rescue device
  • Hub rescue device
  • Automatic descender

Course content includes content defined in the Renewable Approved Standard "Working at Height".
