It is all about the people – one area which truly differentiates us is the experience of our operators on site.
Our rescue teams are highly trained, confined space and at height recue experts, all qualified as either rescue team leaders or rescue operatives.
They are all directly employed by MRS Training & Rescue as we passionately believe in employing the right people for the role. They have real-life skills and expertise in working in hazardous environments.
When delivering services, our primary concern is for the safety of our teams and the teams of the organisations we support. Therefore, we are highly demanding when providing initial training and then proving ongoing competence, and we have a comprehensive competence management system, supported by regulated qualifications, with knowledge skills and behaviours being periodically reviewed and refreshed.
As well as working in a technical rescue function, our operatives pass on their knowledge in the classroom. Each has relevant teaching qualifications, and the skills to teach a range of courses such as:
- First aid
- Confined space, up to and including High Risk with Rescue
- Working at height training, including specialist rescue
- Fire Fighting and Fire Warden
- Health & Safety
We pride ourselves on being prepared to handle whatever we encounter, and 120 years of experience mean we can handle quite a lot!
We are continually provided with professional, confidence-inspiring service. The team have also worked hard to ensure our needs are met even when we've requested last minute support.
I have used MRS now on several occasions and have proved to be very professional and knowledgeable in Emergency Rescue Procedures. From the first contact and site meeting with Errol and Brian they catered for all aspects including plant and equipment along with excellent briefing/toolbox talks. I would highly recommend MRS based on my experience with them and will definitely use them again in the near future.
Excellent service provided. All of the pre site set up work was very helpful with a very detailed RAMS provided. Very helpful answering any comments/ queries we had, and very quick response time. Staff on site were professional and obviously very experienced. Provided a safe and calm surrounding for us to carry out our inspection work.

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to you and your respective team who once again supported us so well over the summer as we undertook major refurbishment of the scour valves at Caban Coch. This was a critical project for us and safety on such a challenging job was our top priority.
