We are excited to announce that a brand new, purpose-built training facility is now open in Aberdeen, expanding our presence in Scotland.

Our Aberdeen training centre is just 2 miles from Aberdeen city centre. It provides purpose built facilities that allow us to deliver specialist training for a wide variety of sectors and industries. Situated in the south side of Balgownie Road, in Bridge of Don – the centre is easy to reach for those in Scotland, or those travelling to training via Aberdeen airport. Opened in 2022, this centre is our third in Scotland.

Training centre facilities

This training centre has state-of-the-art facilities that have been designed specifically for our accredited working at height, confined spaces and first aid courses. Our courses can be made bespoke – and we have lots of experience training those in oil and gas, as well as those in the renewables sector.

Our training centre has 6 dedicated training rooms – which are used to teach the theory elements of our courses. As well as space for classroom teaching, we also have purpose built facilities for specialist practical training.

Our Aberdeen training centre has a dedicated confined space vessel and a network of crawl spaces in a continuous tunnel that loops round on itself. The vessel and tunnels have various entry points – and can be accessed via stacking 3m concrete rings, accurately recreating the entrance to most tunnels and sewers.

Our confined spaces facilities have been designed to simulate a range of confined space conditions. They also feature strobe lights and can be filled with artificial smoke to recreate high risk confined space scenarios.

Additionally, the centre houses a 14m high indoor scaffold system – which is used to deliver working at height, ladder and rope access training courses. The system can simulate a variety of working at height scenarios – and features ladders, trap doors, gates, hatches, guard rails, a sloping roof, a flat roof and a tower. This combination of facilities can also be used for rescue training and rope training.

As well the working at height scaffold system, the centre also has a mock wind turbine hub. This hub is used as part of our wind turbine courses – and courses designed for the renewables sector.
