Our Yorkshire Training Centre is located in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.

From our Yorkshire Training Centre, we provide various health and safety training courses, including IOSH Managing Safely, for a wide range of industries.

We are known for providing training courses using our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. All our trainers are highly experienced, former or current rescuers. We do not just teach from a textbook – we use our facilities and previous experiences to ensure you learn practical skills in the right environment.

MRS Training and Rescue is a leading First Aid training and assessment provider and is approved by QualSafe. We are also a leading work at height training provider with Global Wind Organisation (GWO) approved facilities —to offer a range of courses suitable for anyone working in the wind industry on wind turbines.

We’re specialist providers of low, high and medium risk confined space training courses. Our team will replicate situations and conditions using our state-of-the-art facilities to ensure you learn how to stay safe when you return to work.

Facilities

Our Knottingley training centre has a wide range of purpose built training facilities that allow us to provide practical and realistic training.

In addition to 6 dedicated training rooms – our centre features a self-contained confined space training chamber built into the fabric of the building. It has 70 metres of crawl space, and internal cameras that can be used to monitor and review training sessions and mock scenarios.

The centre also has a second confined space training unit with tunnels and crawl spaces that can be filled with artificial smoke to recreate real life situations and conditions.

As well as confined spaces facilities – this centre features purpose built working at height training facilities. This includes an indoor work at height system, with a variety of ladders and a sloping roof, designed to simulate a range of industry scenarios and drills.

The centre also has an outdoor purpose built 8 metre high pitched and chimneyed roof, as well as an 8 metre high mock wind turbine with hub and nacelle. The wind turbine allows us to delivery GWO approved courses for the renewables industries.

We have a high quality mobile training unit, which means we can visit your site, factory or office to provide training to a group of employees. Our mobile training unit lets us replicate the conditions needed to provide training for the majority of our courses.

Training at your location is the perfect solution if you’re looking to train a team of people at the same time.

Used MRS knottingley for a few years for first aid training and allways found their service excellent. Good facilities and well managed.

Ian Southern, Saria Ltd

A very well presented and detailed course that provided exactly the information required.

David Kilner, Fairfields Control Systems

Great experience, comprehensive training with competent and helpful instructors.

Alex Ana, Veolia

I needed some ‘not your average’ confined space training for some quite specific tight spaces – I really didn’t want to just learn about A frames! MRS listened to my needs and delivered a great course that really helped drive home the need for care and safety and provided the knowledge required when dealing with confined space that altered the trainees’ ways of working.
