IOSH MANAGING SAFELY REFRESHER ®
Breaks for refreshments are included in this overall total
This IOSH Managing Safely Refresher® course is for anyone who has completed the full Managing Safely® course. It refreshes knowledge on key parts of Managing Safely with emphasis on a Plan-Do-Check-Act safety and health management system.
Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language.
This course is interactive and is compliant with all current health and safety regulations.
Candidates who attend this course will be taught practical actions they are required to take in their role – and the skills they will need to deliver their health and safety responsibilities. This course is designed to integrate health and safety in the routine of all candidate’s roles.
This course covers:
- A recap of the Managing Safely course
- How to promote a safety culture in your organisation
- Check your health and safety policy
- How to deliver it in your organisation
- Risk Assessments
- How to review and act on findings
- Measuring performance
An interactive case study exercise is used throughout the course to apply refreshed knowledge to the plan-do-check-act model and then link it back to the workplace. For example, learners will discover what a safety and health policy looks like, come up with ideas to influence safety culture and select the best communication methods to engage a workforce.
This course is taught by experienced and qualified IOSH approved instructors – who have technical membership of IOSH.
To pass this course, candidates will need to pass an end of course 30 question multiple-choice assessment and a work-based risk assessment task, which needs to be completed within two weeks of the end of the course.
All those who pass this course will be awarded an IOSH Managing Safely Refresher® Certificate.
