We are pleased to be working in partnership with Fife College to offer you this course that takes place at their training facility in Fife.

This course provides the underpinning knowledge to enable Health and Safety duties in the workplace to be undertaken more effectively. It is relevant for managers, supervisors and employee representatives with health and safety responsibilities. This comprehensive course, gives an excellent grounding in the fundamentals of occupational safety and health management.

  • Management of Health & Safety (NGC1)
  • Controlling Workplace Hazards (GC2)
  • Health & Safety Practical Application (GC3)

KEY FACTS

  • Duration – The course is currently offered on a day-release, block release or e-learning basis
    • Day Release: One day a week over a period of twelve weeks
    • Block release: One weeks attendance with a short break before attending for a further week and two days
  • Exams – Examinations are held at the course providers premises, the practical element is carried out by the student at their own work premises
    • The exams comprise of two 2-hour written papers and a practical assessment that involves carrying out an inspection of the student’s workplace and the preparation of a management report
    • Having listened to our day release students and responding to their request to remove the pressure of multiple exams on one day
  • Price – £1,495 including: Registration and exam fees, and refreshments and lunch

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no entry requirements although candidates are required to write a short report, requiring a degree of written communication skills.

Candidates are strongly recommended to have attended a course similar to IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work, or have proven work experience in relation to carrying out health and safety functions within the workplace.
